If you haven't lurked on the SECrant to understand how this place works then you're in for a rude awakening South Carolina style.

Don't come on here and attack the Mizzou Fanbase if you think we (ie. myself) are out of hand in threads, rude, or seemingly touchy toward other fanbases. This place has a huge learning curve and it isn't what it seems at first. People aren't necessarily what they seem at first.

First, Trolls exist here more than anywhere I've seen before (with exception to perhaps Hogville, but that's another story). There are people who spend their waking moments trying to "out" new posters as fools. There are people who try to get others banned by purposefully provoking them to the point of extreme anger. Their hope is that you (the targeted individual) have a "rant meltdown" and start insulting people and Admins. When that happens, you run a high risk of banishment.

Second, don't flame other fanbases until after you've seen how professional flamers and trolls operate. There are unwritten rules that pertain to Trolls and Flamers. It is well understood that there is a fine line between bad trolling and respectable trolling...between bad flaming and respectable flaming. It's very hard to describe what I'm talking about if you're not familiar with this, so be careful on here and don't let your emotions overtake your self control. If you aspire to flame or troll, spend time learning from veterans on this site. Ask questions if you have zero idea of what I'm talking about.

Third, people don't really hate Mizzou as much as they say. They rip on Mizzou and call us Yankees to simply provoke you into a bad reaction (refer to rule 1).

Fourth, don't come on here and write a novel about how Missouri fits into the SEC because of our ties to the Confederacy in the Civil War. Almost every new poster does this and then that individual wonders why the entire rant attacks them for being an idiot, or that individual wonders why people are posting harsh negative stuff about Mizzou in that thread. People are tired of hearing this shite! It's as old as your grandma's last orgasm.

Finally, if you don't understand what the hell I'm talking about, then I suggest you lurk on the rant for a while before posting. If you think I'm being a pretentious preachy dick, you're right...I am. But, that's because I've broken every rule on here. I know from experience. I've been banned by the Admins for being an overwhelming a-hole, I made a now infamous mistake with my alter (who doesn't exist any longer - god bless him), I started off on the wrong foot by insulting fellow Mizzou fans because they called me out for being an idiot, etc., etc., etc. Don't do this or you won't last long on here.

Let's elevate our game and show the rant why Mizzou really belongs in the SEC. If you feel like you're being trolled and you don't know how to respond, it's better not to respond at all. Perhaps review some of the veteran Mizzou fans' posts to see how we respond to douchey frickheads and then imitate us.
