Johnson is as competitive as anyone ALIVE and he HATES Losing, we all know this. If he cannot get the players to run his system, his tenure is on life support.
Folks forget the prolific GSU Offenses that scored anyhow and from anywhere and that CPJ cannot get enough of them to come to Tech suggests other issues.

Which is why I don't get the hire. They should fire their AD after the "life long" contract given to that last clown that coached their Basketball team.
People forget, this is GT we are talking about. It's bad enough their curriculum is handicapped as it is. Why hire a coach with a handicapped system as well?

I agree. You are in Atlanta. Georgia isn't top 5 in high school talent every year because the in state guys suck. GT can succeed, no doubt whatsoever. However, it won't be with CPJ. He won't be able to get the top recruits needed with his system. Top recruits have dreams of playing in the NFL. Going to GT and running an option offense will make that harder to do. Especially when your curriculum is what it is.
Need to switch back to more of a pro style offense, IMHO. Better do it now though. The ACC is garbage with a couple exceptions, and the sooner GT realizes that, the better.

I appreciate Johnson's honesty and willingness to take credit for the losses as opposed to throwing players/other coaches under the bus.

Chris, nice article in today's AJC about Tech's football issues. It is written by Mark Bradley who gets it right sometime.
