I like a bunch of assholes showing up from another fanbase. I consider it a challenge.

I stayed with some kids from UT on spring break, the best way to rile them up is talk about the Bama game. The excuses you hear are awesome. One kid was such a chach, he was telling me about how UT was his backup school. COOL BRO, the best part is I will have the same if not better job than them.
ETA: oh and they're all coming for the game. Also there were a couple of cool ones, I'm just ready for them to be on my turf.

You'll run into a share of the Ole Miss assholes as well. But for the most part, most people just stick to themselves and welcome you in.

Ok, here's my breakdown of the places to drink and eat on the Square:
The Library- Biggest, most popular bar in Oxford, especially for those of legal drinking age (they're hardcore on IDs). not a place to drink over laid-back conversation unless you go around dinner time before it gets crowded. will be full of good looking girls, but be prepared to pay $15-30 for a cover after 9 or so.
Proud Larry's- Never spent much time here outside of concerts, I think it's more popular with the adult crowd than students. Has a good menu though, but will likely be packed.
Round Table- Smaller bar but has patio area out back. My parents have enjoyed going here when they're in town. It also seems popular with the 18 crowd.
The Levee- 18 bar, stereotypical underage bar until corner opened next door last spring because pretty easy on IDs. larger bar that also has outdoor patio. have heard OM and Texas SAEs rented it out Fri night.
Funky's- Pizza and Daiquiri Bar-popular for deceptively strong daiquiris, pizza is pretty good and may be a good place to grab a slice if you likely can't get reservations anywhere on Friday.
Irie- Biggest selection of beers on tap, should have live music this weekend
Rib Cage- Most popular BBQ on the Square (mostly terrible actually), but I think they sprinkle crack in their bbq quesadillas, bar inside and another downstairs. Never has a cover, never seems full of younger kids.
Burgundy Room- Bar above Old Venice Pizza, fairly small but has balcony with a nice view of the Square, popular with older students and younger adults who want to drink and hang out with friends, Old Venice also has a bar in the back of the restaurant
City Grocery- One of Oxford's most famous restaurants (no way you'll get a table now) that has a bar upstairs including a balcony with a great view of the square. great choice for older students and adults who like a more casual experience i.e. no belligerent 19 year olds running around.
Boure- Haven't been to this one yet since it moved to this location since I moved to China. Its two stories and I've heard great things about it. The restaurant is also good.
Rooster's Blues House- Restaurant/bar inside with another outside upstairs, outside bar seems popular with younger crowd, live music every night
Frank and Marlee's- Smaller restaurant/bar with decent size patio, on one of the side streets of the square, known for dueling pianos on weekends
South Depot taco shop- Decent place to get a burrito with small bar, good for happy hour with dinner. Will likely be extremely busy on Friday.
Soulshine Pizza- Good pizza place with large bar, decent size outside patio, big tvs for watching sports, live blues on weekends, good place to eat and start out the night with casual drinks during happy hour
Two Stick- Japanese joint that serves decent sushi and turns into a bar at night.
208- One of the more famous restaurants in Oxford, but not a chance of getting in here at this point.
The Blind Pig- Probably serves the best sandwiches in Oxford, and is a good recommendation for starting off the evening. Located in a basement on the North side of the Square.
Ajax- If you want homestyle Southern cooking, this is the place to start. It will be packed on Friday night though, but you may be able to get in for a Saturday lunch.
Just about every place I listed has a happy hour from 4-7 every day. While several of these bars don't ever blast music or have drunk kids being obnoxious everywhere, the Square is going to be so packed Friday night that I can't make any promises as to how "casual" they will actually be. These are all the ones popping in my head at the moment.

The key is that every bar will be absolutely slammed and there will be no where to just chill. I'm gonna go rage face then probably head home early and start hydrating for Saturday.

If he wants sandwiches, go to The Blind Pig. Pretty confident that place won't be completely out of control.
