Just one more sign that the Bevo controlled conference headquarters is out to protect UT before a big game..

Just when we get to a point in history where a "playoff" can occur, we change the sport from football to pussyball.

There can no longer be crowned a national champion in football, as the sport is now called pussyball.

It's a perfectly legal hit and the SEC is out of bounds to make a call like this. Are they now going to review every game to see if players tackle too hard?

they missed one here

Exactly. The SEC would never do this to one of its money makers, the big boys of the conference. Let's drop down to flag football & make sure no momma's little boy gets hurt.

Yep. And this is why we hate Slive, A&M and Mizzou.

The hit was clean. Elston did his job. It's just the SEC trying to put their big boy shoes. Always picking on the smaller schools in the conference.

Should have been flagged. It was pretty bad, actually really bad.

Clean hit. It was violent, but he didn't launch himself, didn't spear didn't lead with any part of his helmet, and made a play to separate the player from the ball. This is what football is coming to. Players will be suspended for big hits.

I understand that safety is a necessary concern. But this is simply Slive pretending to take care of a problem.

This was probably done more in response to the Tulane player being seriously injured (paralyzed?) than for any flagrant severity of the hit.

The SEC is trying to send a message about those types of potentially dangerous hits...as if an injury like that couldn't happen at any time.

Don't punish a player on another team and another conference for a freak accident. If you want to send a message, let it be known by memo to each team in the conference.

I know what you're saying, but nothing gets attention like dramatic action. You can see the same mindset in the new helmet rule...helmet comes off, you miss a play...I saw a lot less helmets coming off last week compared to the first week.

I have no love or hate for OM.

The only way that's a dirty hit was if you say he had his head too low. He caught some of the face mask at the time of contact but his shoulder did most of the damage.

Just my unbiased opinion.

I just want to know why our guy gets suspended but then you look back on the USCe vs Vandy game and the Vandy player got flagged for launching and didn't get shite handed down to him.

Seriously would someone please explain that to me.
