I know it's been mentioned in threads, but it needs a thread of its own

6 sacks against WKU and two against michigan...

Are there some injuries on the o-line for bama or something?

He's been holding the ball too long.

Driskel got sacked 8 times Saturday for Florida. I think maybe 2 or 3 could be legitimately blamed on the OL.

That's the thing most fans don't realize about sacks. It's not all on the OL. A RB might miss a blocking assignment (and they have young guys playing) a WR could run the wrong route, an OL could block the wrong guy, the QB could hold the ball too long, etc...

A lot goes into a sack.

Just saw that stat line and it jumped off the page.. I remember when lsu was supposed to have the best offensive line evaaaar in 2009, and gave up like 37 sacks or something ridiculous

I've been waiting to see a thread on the next Barry Sanders but I guess #4 didn't do much this game. I wonder why, the competition was much easier. All of this make those knee-jerk reactions from last week look comical.

You criticizing them for basing thoughts on one game, then you do the same thing. Solid

No injuries, just haven't jelled with the new LT and the C playing a new position. Pass plays are also taking longer to develop this year, along with AJ holding it too long.

Didn't realize bama had a new LT

So a lot of switching around then?

Yes, Cyrus was hurt last year and is a first year starter at LT and Jones moved to C from LT.
I really wished Jones was allowed to play G for Steen, should have developed a C last year for this one.

They'll be OK eventually, the run blocking looks good while pass protection needs improvement. Opposite was true last year imo.
