Their practice report (link within my link) says Saban was giving the DBs hell today.
I wish someone would give our db's and lb's hell
Like I said earlier, I hope Jake Holland has spent the last couple practices tackling moving cars and the Toomer's oaks.

Man between this and him jumping down that woman's throat when she asked about running back rotations he does seem a little on edge. He was always a tight arse at LSU but man I don't remember him being this bad at least publicly. I don't know what that means though. Maybe it's made him a better coach.

I'm not particularly amused by his temper tantrums. I know some guys eat it up. Western Kentucky sucks and we're going to destroy them. It is what it is.
Yeah, because nobody said that about La. Monroe in '07.
I know comparing that team to this is apples and oranges, but allowing complacency to fester is a dangerous act for any team.

I love his attitude. I had all the nicey nice mealy mouthed bullshite I could stand coming from the coach(s) at Bama. He is not a god nor is he perfect but he is the fricking Coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

I really don't think that was an "eruption." he has said much worse. This is his normal speech when Alabama has a non-BCS team. Seems to me that this particular speech was brought on by a lazy practice

I agree with what Nick had to say.

He is just mad that he cannot give his guys bulletin board material. He scared.
Also is this the first time that a coach has been pissed about too much positive press?

I'M GOING TO THE GAME. I can't wait. Finishing homework now so I don't have to do it this weekend. I am really looking forward to see the #1 team in the nation take on my school.
Thanks for the AD.

I can't hate Saban anymore. I tried, but he's the best in the business.

God I wished one of them would have asked him which NFL team he thinks Bama could beat.
Oh yea. He mad.

Lol. I wonder if before every press conference, if the reporters have some kind of pool they all go in on, to see who will ask THE question that sets Saban off.

The easiest diagnosis of chronic constipation I have ever seen.

I dunno, he didn't spit, convulse, bob his head, or throw anything, so I don't think I would call it an eruption.
On a serious note, I know a lot of people don't like him, and sometimes his temper gets the best of him, but professionally, he is a great example of how to manage an organization. I have many sayings of his in my office, and pay attention to what he says and does, because he has to be one of the best business managers I have ever studied. He NEVER loses his sight of the mission goal. He can be a real jerk, but he knows it.

My questions after watching the video:
1. Is he suffering from the same disease as Coach Summitt? I mean, really, he needed to write down notes and look down at the notes while going on his little triade?
2. Do Alabama players really read these articles?
Other than those two items, viewing the video brought a smile to my face as it was a classic Coach Saban press conference. Difference between LSU and Alabama was when he did this while at LSU, we would say, "frick off Nick". At Alabama, they are saying, "Thank you Sir may I have another".
