I knew it was being well publicized around Gainesville that they were struggling to sell tickets, but still...
Opening day and a good possibility of hundreds of seats empty for UF is embarrassing. I'd be going if it wasn't for Labor Day weekend.

A few thousand tickets were still available Tuesday for the Gators' first game of the football season, raising the likelihood that the game won't be a sellout.
“It's tough to sell that many tickets” in the time left before Saturday's game against Bowling Green, said Mark Gajda, assistant athletics director for ticket operations.
“We're optimistic we will, but if we do not, it would not surprise me,” he added.
Tickets were available at the University Athletic Association's website, Gatorzone.com., starting at $35. Prices typically start at $50, but the lower-priced tickets are being made available this year for upper-deck seats in games against non-conference opponents.
Seats for Saturday's game could be found for less than face value at resale sites such as Stubhub.com, which as of Tuesday afternoon had tickets starting at $20 apiece plus shipping.

So the school is still selling tickets for 50 and 35 dollars while you can get them on Stubhub for 20?
And they are wondering why they are having a hard time selling them? I bet you on gameday, you will be able to get tickets for 10 bucks or for free if you know somebody.

I'm waiting till gameday for uber cheap tickets. Hell, if I watch the first quarter in a bar, I can probably go to the stadium and get tickets for free.

I'd go if they were playing a better opponent. I hate cupcake games.

Then we'll continue to struggle to sell tickets.
No way I want to travel 3 hours to see UF blow out a team.

Gotta admit it seems like a half of Florida's population hops on UF,FSU or Miami's bandwagon but primarily UF or FSU...

still, the turd fan base should still not have as much issue as they are right now after coming off of two titles in the last 5-6 years

Can we borrow some of your sidewalkers? We don't have enough.
The seats that are available are the shittiest ones in the Swamp. We need more sidewalkers to buy those up.
