Arkansas Inferiority?

It seems when the topic of A&M's potential for success in the SEC comes up, Hogs are the most adamant about it not happening.
LSU/Bama, (especially LSU) fans seem to think there is the potential for them to become a power. Is it a Rant thing, or is this indicitave of the entire ar-kansas fan base?

aTm could have success in the SEC. I just don't understand why they didn't have more in the Big 12 the last decade.
When you look at recruiting base along with facilities. I don't see why the couldn't consistently be #3 in the west behind Alabama and LSU.

Yes. Our entire fan base feels inferior and not one of us accepts that aggie will have any success. In fact we all feel that atm will never win a conference game again.
so it is written

uhhhhh. that's true. most of the aggie dick sucking has come from lsu fans who are excited about their renewed rivalry.

I genuinely believe A&M will win an SEC championship before Arkansas.

Inferiority has nothing to due with it. Experience and history do. We have first hand knowledge of how much more difficult it will be too have success in the SEC versus the SWC or Big 12. I must have missed where LSU and Bama fans are predicting aTm to become a "power". Don't give me any of that "Sleeping Giant" and "Unlimited Resources" bullshite either. If that was the case why did they not dominate in the SWC or Big 12. The Aggies will be competitive most years and will have some years of upper level success. Nothing more nothing less.

I think has to do with numbers and history:
Arkansas vs. A&M: 41-24-3, 3-0 in the last 3 years.
It is not to say they won't be good, but most Arkansas fans know A&M as a team that we consistently beat despite the often high expectations.

It all comes down to coaching. A&M has made some bad, bad coaching hires. Sumlin didn't blow me away when they announced it, but I think he has done well so far. How it will translate once the games start is a mystery, but he seems at least to be recruiting well and talking the talk.

exactly. It's not like aTm is in a state full of shitty talent or hasn't had the money to bring in great coaches over the years. They were not able to do shite in the Big 12....that of course translates to SUCCESS in the SEC in the eyes of LSU fans.

So Arkansas just does't want to share that position? Kind of childish if you ask me.

Arkansas consistently chokes, has never won it in 20 seasons, and is on the downswing now that BP is gone. A&M is on the upswing, has more talent, and if Sumlin turns out to be a solid hire, I see them winning it within the next 5 years.

Fran really set us back, I mean REALLY set us back... He was here five years ('03-'07, who knows why), and then the first two years Sherman was here ('08-'09), he was fighting a MAJOR uphill battle from the mess that Fran left. Sherman ended up failing last year, but I do commend him for righting the ship somewhat and getting us back to a competitive talent level.
