What about him is so proven?

meh I know his numbers.

He wasn't inconsistent at all our passing game was inconsistent and it had nothing to do with him.
Fair enough, he was a pretty significant part of the passing game though. I realize basically all of it was the QB.

No doubt, I think when you go back after his senior year he will end up being the best. For this year I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three. If we're only talking this year I would take Swope over OBJ though. Haven't seen enough of Blake to know one way or the other.

quote:Arkansas, Georgia and Tennessee all had more pass attempts than Missouri last season. Arkansas by almost more than 100 attempts. They don't throw the ball as much with Franklin because he can run it as well unlike Gabbert.
The SEC has not seen a team who will throw the ball as much as Mizzou in a long time either.

I hear you man, you usually give a pretty good opinion, I just think it's more realistic in 2013 or 2014 than this year. Plus, Murray had more attempts last year than Franklin. as did Tyler Wilson.

Then I don't know what you're questioning. He's obviously proven

I guess. He's proven to be able to catch for 600 yards as a junior. He's a decent player but he has yet to tell me he can be a marquee receiver in this league. I certainly understand your quarterback woes, which were very similar to LSU.

He was 3rd in the SEC in yds/rec.

He didn't really play in the Samford game either, he was dressed but didn't play. And only played half of the USCe game.

I was told by people on this board he missed 4.5. Regardless, three of the games were against some of the best teams on the schedule.

Maybe not LSU, but we moved the ball a bit against Arkansas and Florida, and he would have only helped. And he obviously would have put up some yards against Samford

Well his numbers would likely have been better but we can't play the "what if" game and know for sure.

Don't need to play what if...Blake is one of the top WR in the conf. Today.

Must be a weak crop. Swope wins this thread so it doesn't matter.

quote:Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Samford, and the 2nd half of the USC game. A team like LSU, sure, I couldn't see him putting stats up against them. Clint Moseley had no time to throw in that game, plus he's a bleeding vagina and usually won't take a hit. He could've easily put up numbers against Florida, USC (2nd half), Arky, and Samford though. You're probably wondering why I say this. Well, he had 6 catches for 101 yards against Georgia. They were outstanding on defense last year.
Regardless, three of the games were against some of the best teams on the schedule.
He was, without a doubt, our #1 target last season in the passing game. The same will happen this year. And even when he came back from his injury, he wasn't the same until the bowl game, which is when he had another 100 yards game. He was hobbling around against Alabama, Georgia, and Ole Miss.

Not being a homer but I don't think I've ever saw OBJ drop a ball, dude has elite hands. He couldve easily caught 50 balls last yr had Lee QB'd the whole season

It all depends on Mett and if OBJ is his go to guy.
The same could be said for the other two WRs with their QBs.

If Jacob Hester had great hands he'd be Ryan Swope

Not to mention the shitty-arse throw Trotter hung him up to dry on over the middle in the USCe game to cause his injury.
