Sorry for calling you a Bama fan, I got confused. And yes, I'm telling you a difference remains, but I would also like to stress that being die hard college football fans, and die hard pro sports fans are not mutually exclusive. Texans for the most part are even die hard high school football fans, but Aggies definitely have SEC like passion towards Texas A&M, regardless of America's Team being the single greatest professional sports franchise in the history of mankind.

Perhaps. But I do think there's a difference between the CFB only fan and the fan of both.
As someone who's not an NFL fan, if Auburn has a bad year, I'm devastated. I have no other sport in which to be hopeful or console myself. I refer to 2008 as the year without football. (Of course, I realize the Cowboys don't currently offer much consolation these days.)
Having those other outlets colors one's fandom. That's why European soccer fans are so f-ing nuts. They have absolutely nothing else going on sports-wise.

Mizzou - The posters here seem alright.
TAMU - Like Mississippi State but gigantic and with money. I mean this in every single way, including their butthurt inferiority complex.
I'm glad both are in our conference, though. Both schools have good athletics programs.

We came to this conference expecting to be doormated not Deliveranced. WTF y'all mean "prepare your anus"? What kinda shite did y'all do to each other before we got here?

I'm in my early 30s, have been traveling a lot for work all over the country for around a decade - can't recall a single guy I ever met who was a CFB fan but not an NFL fan as well, not one.
