Arkansas - New HD Board - Tree Spree?

"The total cost of the project will be $4,633,194.12 and installation is underway to replace the current board, which was also provided by LSI 12 years ago. The cost will provide Razorback Stadium the new 16mm video display, which will achieve the highest definition standards based on its size. Additionally, four sections of 20mm fascia displays for use in the end zones, which complement the fascia LSI manufactured for the University in 2009. Also included in the project are new state-of-the-art LED stadium identification signs as well as new game clocks and play clocks on the north and south end of the stadium."
Spending money like it's water.. Is this truly needed?
Side note: I've been looking at the construction cameras around campus.... Who in the heck went on a tree planting spree? The Hill is not in the need of trees.

They announced upgrading the Board to HD quite awhile ago, live under a rock?

The screen needs to be taller. It is wide enough, just kind of slim. It would look good if they made that whole frame the screen, just a tad bit taller.

Ok sorry, just couldn't help myself. Looks really nice, but like another poster said it looks like it should maybe be a bit taller. Either way, it'll be a nice addition to your stadium

Yes I know, I've seen it. But the screen could be taller. Not the overall thing. The length is fine.

Will the new screen be tall enough for the North endzone expansion or we just blowing the 4mil until 2014 when we bowl RRS in?
