this agreement makes no sense to me.
it must just be the first step in the Big12-SEC "teaming up" to couteract the Big10-Pac12 power alliance.
But as far as the actual game, it will likely never happen where the Big12 champ and SEC champ are both not in the 4-team playoff. So this game will rarely, if ever, be played.
And FWIW, if this game ever does take place, it needs to be the Sugar Bowl.

It will be played each year regardless. Any team selected for the playoff will be replaced by the next best team from that conference.
