Your athletic program as a whole pales in comparison to 75% of this leagues.

You could say our overall men's revenue sports pale in comparison, and that would be a stretch given our baseball team making the CWS last year, and our bball teams under BCG and Turge making the tourney 6 straight years.

Otherwise, rephrase your statement because it makes you a moron.

No, the moron is the one who thinks his teams will come into a tougher conference and compete on all levels with the best programs the country has to offer.

Ill ask you all again....Do you think Aggy will come in to the conference and have the immediate success Arkansas did?

I don't think you will. Your football program is mediocre and has a new coach. Your basketball program is on the slide and has never been more than mediocre historically.

Am I wrong? The facts say I'm right, no matter what recruits you get.

About 2/3 of the teams in the SEC have enough legit players that IF they find that ONE player to pull everything together, they are capable of having a one hit wonder type of season. The real goal should not be to compete every once in a while but to build quality depth so you can compete every year. The SEC programs that can compete every year are much fewer in number and even those teams have to deal with up/down cycles. aTm has everything in place as a school to become a team that can compete on a year-in/year-out basis but it will be a hard fight to turn capable into reality.

This year Alabama's quality of depth showed up after the losses to last years draft. It showed up again with the results from this years draft. 15 players drafted or picked up FA deals. 15 out of 18 that applied for the draft which included 3 depth players that got FA deals. The next depth test will be what they do next season after the loss of 15 more players to the NFL.
