I would like to see the BE lose their automatic BCS bowl berth. However, as long as they have the number of teams to qualify I think they will keep their position.

I agree for two specific reasons.

One is market size. Plenty of large markets in the east no one wants to see eliminated from the BCS equation.

Second is sports journalism. a large portion of the sports information going round is generated from eastern sources. ESPN is headquartered in connecticut. The children of the people working there attend schools like UCONN and Syracuse. Heck, it seems like half the people working in sports journalism received their degrees from Syracuse.

Now all that flies out the window if the Big East ever becomes a conference of teams located in Idaho and small Texas towns.

Hate to say it, but Louisville is the type of team that could go on a run in the regionals and catch someone in the Super and advance to Omaha.

Great coaching and they are YOUNG and the more at bats they see,the better they are getting. Only thing holding them back is their pitching staff...other then that, they can crush the damn ball and spray it all over the yard.

Louisville has one hell of a baseball program, and no doubt, they could compete in the SEC...I know Ole Miss fans would take McDonald if Bianco was not there.
