Could be anything if it's even true. Hopefully things will start to leak soon.

I think Hogville is based off of FootballScoop, but Long himself said it would be "days not weeks".

I thought it said 4 tomorrow if one were to believe anything you read that is. I'll admit I don't believe any of it but I'm ready for an announcement to be made because no matter my disbelief, it still gets in my head. Lol

On the heels of the feel good spring game, the meeting is to confirm they stay the course with the current interim for next season.

The nature of yesterday's game was a "fixed" in anticapation of this move

Could be wrong, but I think the rosters for the spring game were made a long time ago.

What does a coach gain by playing his # 1's vs the scrubs? In light of what happened I can understand why they did it but I doubt the 1's vs the bench warmers would have happened had the scandal not happened.

I know. Given the meltdown when the people who've thought they are getting Gruden will have, I can see why they did what they did.

To see how they operate as a unit including how some 2s operate with the 1s. The score is irrelevant.

Maybe it's Petrino's method of mind control and self validating propaganda.

I used to play backgammon with my imaginary friend when I was little, and I swear, I am the world champ.

I sure hope people don't push for Jeff to be fired if we do go the interim route. It is gonna suck if we have to find a coach and a athelic director. Plus Jeff Long he seems like a guy who cares about the program and the people in it, not just about the money he makes.

I'm sure some from HV will call for him to be fired, others will just burn his house down.

People should look at Alabama's misdeeds of the same scenarios as a roadmap of how not to do things. It looks like Long has done that so far, and I think it can't help but be beneficial in the long term. Sometimes people don't realize that what feels good short term is absolutely the worst thing you can do for long term stability and happiness.

People need to get it out of their heads about what could have been this year, because someone's personal decisions kept y'all from that, and that's part of who he is. You have to take the good coaching with the bad personality. So it might end up being just as good, but in the long run, y'all are MUCH better off. I don't think the masses understand this.

I'm a Tennessee fan who also follows Ohio State. As you know, both teams were recently in situations where they needed to scramble to find a head coach at a bad time.

Believe me when I say that it's better to go with an interim coach and hire a real coach after the season instead of tying yourself to an unproven commodity for at least 3 years. If Arkansas can't find someone they would be comfortable with for 3 years, they should go the interim route.

I understand that Arkansas has been successful lately and it would hurt for the fans to see what could potentially be a big year go to waste. That said, it's better to have a bad recruiting class and some disappointing results during the season than trying to take a shot in the dark and hoping you hit the jackpot. It could work, but it's far more likely that it would just prolong the misery.

Gruden > Dooley

One is a real coach that has actually won a Superbowl and one is a frat boy.
