Serious question because IDGAF about the Big 12. When is the last time either team had to face a Defense worth a damn?

I called for both going 7-5 in the SEC standings prediction thread. I'll stand by that.

We both know that the outcomes in '10 and '11 do nothing to prove that A&M can't compete in the West. That's of course assuming that you believe Arky is a contender.

no A&M's performance in the big 12 south makes them a non-contender in the sec west.

"You've lost to a mid-range SEC team the last 3 years you've played them. If you can't even beat them, what makes you think you'll come in and hang with the likes of Alabama and LSU?"

I haven't said anything of the sort and I sure as heck didn't call Arky a mid-range SEC team. I pick Texas A&M to go 8-4, I don't know about you but I think Alabama and LSU are in the 4.

Arky Junior college boy's obsession with Texas A&M has the thread off track.

Well, at least they are off your schedule. The SEC should be no trouble for you guys.

Now that Arkansas has gone down the tubes, we'll have 9 or 10 wins. We'll beat UF & Mizzou at home - the toss up is LSU. Look at our schedule, we are poised for a good year.

Just like last year you were supposed to compete for the national championship, and you lose key players like Tannehill(who was a first rate choke artist, might actually improve at the QB position despite breaking in a newcomer) and Jeff Fuller and expect to win 9-10 in the stronger SEC.

Anyway, my predictions:

@ Louisiana Tech - Win by 7 or less. Will be a tough opening game for Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech is probably the best team in the WAC.
Florida - Loss by 10 or less. Florida should have just enough talent to get by.
@ SMU - Loss by 7 or less. SMU will have its best team under June Jones(IMO) this year and this is a lot tougher of a game than it seems on paper. Texas A&M better bring a defense here.
South Carolina - Loss by 14. South Carolina won't lose this game.
Arkansas - Loss by 10. Arkansas will be down but not bad enough to finally lose to the Aggies.
@ Ole Miss - Loss by 7. By this time the wheels will be coming off the Texas A&M train and Ole Miss gets its most winnable SEC game and takes advantage.
LSU - Loss by 21. Not happening.
@ Auburn - Loss by 21+. Wheels will be coming off and Texas A&M will already be in "next year" mode experimenting with underclassmen.
@ Mississippi State - Loss by 14. See above.
@ Alabama - Loss by 28+. Not happening.
Sam Houston State - Win by 21+. Aggies finally take out their frustrations and win a game.
Missouri - Win by 7. A&M doesn't go 0-fer in the SEC and takes out Missouri to end a miserable season.

Honestly I can see Texas A&M starting the season 0-10 and not being surprised since the only gimme game is Sam Houston State and LA Tech/SMU are stronger non BCS teams. But 3-9 is more realistic. No way does A&M get to 6 wins just won't happen.

MISSOURI, on the other hand. They will be the new Kentucky/Mississippi State. Content with winning 6 games each year and going to a bowl game. Basically beating up on 4 scrubs in non conference and stealing an easier SEC game or two to get to 6 wins.

Southeastern Louisiana State - Win by 28+. No analysis needed
Georgia - Loss by 10 or less. Not seeing a win vs. Georgia this early
Arizona State - Win by 14 or more. ASU isn't that good and is rebuilding.
@ South Carolina - Loss by 14 or more. Not happening
@ Central Florida - Loss by 10 or less. UCF is the class of C-USA this year and will take advantage of a high profile home game.
Vanderbilt - Win by 14. Vandy will be decent but Missouri shouldn't have problems at home. If this were in Nashville it would be different.
Alabama - Loss by 17 or more. Not happening.
Kentucky - Win by 14 or more. Kentucky sucks and Missouri isn't that bad to even have a shot at losing to them at home.
@ Florida - Loss by 14 or more. Florida should be too tough defensively to take care of in the swamp.
@ Tennessee - Loss by 7 or less. Will be close, but Tennessee closes the deal at home.
Syracuse - Win by 14 or more. Syracuse had a flash in the pan season in 2010 but not this year.
@ Texas A&M - Loss by 7 or less. Texas A&M wins its only SEC game here.

Missouri goes 5-7, and misses out on a bowl game. I think a good bellweather will be that road game at UCF. UCF is going to be sneaky good and if they don't win that one they aren't going bowling.

Neither team has memorable seasons or anything to be proud of in its first SEC season.

True, but we replaced them with Southeastern Louisiana, so that is a wash.

Yeah, you're right about this... except even in our piece of shite 2011 season we beat SMU 46-14. Nice try though.

Oh, and this gem of pure knowledge. You do realize we're playing South Carolina STATE.
