if they can hold this team together for the new coach, they may actually be better next year than last year. they certainly will be motivated and if the new coach is defense minded they could take the west. their schedule favors.

The beatdown we give them will be worse than this year.

I'm just wondering how you guys have time to post on message boards. Surely, with your fortune telling ways and ability to read the future, you'd be too busy spending your lottery/gambling winnings to do such a thing.

It's WAY too early to say whether Arkansas will be better/worse this year. I think it could easily go either way. For the bajillionth time, WR is the easist position in football to replace. We lost a bunch of WRs, so people are saying we'll regress. Never mind the fact that we get back our primary RB who is vastly superior to any one we had in 2011.

it won't surprise me but i wouldn't bet the mortgage on that if i were you. after traveling arkansas on business for over 10 years i became familiar with the hate y'all have for us. i really don't know where that comes from since traditionally y'all were in a different conference. maybe it stems from the days when huey long ran your state; that surely pissed a lot of people off.

While I love your positive attitude and wish it was true, I just don't see how we are going to be better this year.

We have less than 5 months before football starts. These kids have learned a complicated Petrino offense, and it would be near impossible to get them to forget all of that and learn some new type of offense from a new coach in that time period. Even if we decide to go the interim route and keep the current offense in action, we would still have to have someone other that Petrino calling the plays, which would hurt us.

We might still be "good" this season, but no way we are better, imo. I think we go from being 11-1 to 8-3 or so.

It looks like Arkansas just became a "Trap" game. Go ahead, look past us. With all of our problems, no need to put in work before our game

I know this may sound crazy, but a lot of us Arkansas fans really do not care about LSU. The game is normally fun to watch. I, and several of my friends, just do not care about winning that horribly ugly "Golden Boot." If the game has meaning (postseason or conference wise) then I get really excited about winning it. If not then it is just another game.

yeah we are screwed, and JL helped put the nails into the coffin, might as well get the refund on the that top notch athletic complex cause I do not see us putting 40-50 thousand in the seats come fall.

if you will read the history of huey long, he got involved in arkansas politics (back in the 30's) in a big way. he formed an "alliance" with a candidate for governor and campaigned hard in the state for the candidate. he actually had an organization of "longites" there. both la and arkansas were very poor and the "chicken in every pot" and "every man a king" theme played very well in both states. long had national ambitions. we were in a depression and his populist message was very strong. interesting times in american politics. also, i'm exagerating saying he ran the state but his influence there was very strong.

not really....their coach was just fired for doing stupid shite. not really something you rally around

they could take the west

come on. you don't actually believe this do you? They couldn't take the west when douchebag was there. Likely they'll get some coach that has no idea what SEC football is like and they'll be rebuilding for the next 3-4 years.
