Jerry Jones wants Butch Davis

Don't know Arky politics enough to know how much pull Jerry Jones has w/ Razorback Nation, but a friend in the coaching told me the word is that Jerry has made it known that he wants to make a change and he wants Butch Davis.
Any Arky's hearing this? What type of pull does Jerry have?

He's a helluva lot better recruiter than Bobby. He's got Arky ties. He'd be better than an interim. He's available. And he's been cleared to be hired without cause shown by the NCAA.
Not saying it will happen, I'm just telling you what is being discussed in the coaching community. Also, I've heard that at least three current college HC's have made it known they'd make the move.

We can agree to disagree I doubt they replace a loose cannon with a high risk Davis.I guess it depends on how much clout the Tyson family swings

if it was me i'd stay away from davis...i'm not sure we ever got the whole story about the live-in nanny/tutor.......

Jerry Jones has a track record of picking shitty coaches. Butch couldn't win in the ACC and got them put on probation in the process.
I would love for Arky to hire him though.

How much of Davis success in recruiting is tied to the agent scandal @UNC and/or the boosters at the U ?

Kentucky should fire joker and go after someone like Davis. If he can build a program like unc than he can definitely do it at Kentucky.

It was made known that if Petrino is gone Davis is who some of the big boosters want to replace him.
