No way can they allow CPB to get fired. Do the broadcast thing and go to Tennessee or one of several other schools that will bid on him.
This is looking at it from a football standpoint. Could you see a West rival get him after this?

When you're the Flagship you do what you want.

It really doesn't matter about football anymore. The school has their hands tied TO fire him

They have no choice but to fire him.
He hired her to his staff (and apparently has a nice salary).
She's engaged to someone else in the Athletic Dept.
The hiring issue and the workplace issues will get him fired.

He gone.
If not, this will haunt the program for a while.
They need to let him go and put this behind them.
Make a trade for Dooley.
lulz

more so on what you said they can fire him and not pay him if he breached the moral agreements in the contract

I have to go here to get my info because no national media outlet is even giving this a thought. I've seen a total of 5 minute airtime in over watching several hours of ESPN and CBS.
He had to be punished for lying and the dust will settle. He's not going anywhere though and that's for sure.

I'm telling you guys. Unless much more is found out, he will not be fired.

You can say he won't be fired until you are blue in the face but the only thing that will shut them up is if another scandal pops up between now and kickoff. Of course he won't be fired. Only smart people know this. Unfortunately, there's not many of those people who post on here. Let them get it in. I know I would be if it happened at another school and that's only fair. He's still coaching and he will be for quite some time as long as he continues to win.

How would the SECr feel if Arkansas suspended him without pay for X amount of games and fined him X amount of money?
Posted on 4/6/12 at 5:59 pm to LOYALBAMA
As part of an exit buyout there is a very strong chance it will include a no compete clause that would prohibit him taking a job in the SEC for a fixed amount of time or he would forfiet money.

I could care less. Doesn't matter to me.
What is more important is how the University of Arkansas feels. Every qualified applicant who applied for her job can sue the University.
If Petrino stays, her fiance' can sue the university. He could sue the university even if he left.
Check out UA's policy on consenting sexual relationships:
LINK /
" Consensual sexual relationships between faculty and their students or between supervisors and their employees in some instances may result in charges of sexual harassment.
Consensual relationships may lead other faculty and students or supervisors and coworkers to question the validity of grades, evaluations, and other interactions between the people involved in such a relationship. The integrity of the work of both people in the relationship may be compromised.
University faculty, administrators, and other supervisory staff should be aware that any sexual involvement with their students or employees could subject them to formal action if a sexual harassment complaint is subsequently made and substantiated, and that they bear the greater burden of responsibility should it be proven that the power differential between them made the relationship other than fully consensual. Even when both parties have consented to a relationship, it is the faculty member, administrator, or supervisor who may be held accountable for unprofessional behavior. Other students or employees may allege that the relationship creates a hostile or abusive environment affecting them. Graduate assistants, residence hall staff, tutors, and undergraduate course assistants who are professionally responsible for students will be held to the same standards of accountability as faculty in their relationships with students whom they instruct or evaluate.
When a consensual relationship exists between a student and a faculty member who has control over the student’s academic work or status or between an employee and his or her supervisor, the resulting conflict of interest should be addressed in accordance with university policies concerning conflict of interest."

They can fire him with cause for violating the morality clause in his contract.

ohh no he's on paid admin leave to show the nation that Arkansas is taking action. I fully expected him to return to practice this week. Not a very bright man are you? His title is still head coach at the University of Arkansas and he is being paid as such. Even if he is suspended the first of the season, he is still the head coach.
