Speaking of mineral rights, Tuscaloosa County has a big pocket of natural gas. It's supposedly produces most of the natural gas that the state produces.

T. Boone Pickens was in MS last week talking about the exact same thing. Apparently, MS sits atop one of the largest gas deposits in the world. He is going to drop some major $$$ in MS cause he want's to make some more billions converting all cars in the US to natural gas.
