I believe the AU being referenced in the Outkast song is Atlanta University. It's the name that the historically black colleges in Atlanta used to be known as collectively. That name is still used by some.

I'm from Atlanta and have literally never heard anyone use that terminology, and my family has been in Atlanta for a looooong time.

You've never heard anyone talk about the Atlanta University Center or AUC? No offense, but are you from Atlanta or from one of the suburbs? I grew up in town (product of APS) and we all knew about Morehouse, Morris Brown, etc and the AUC.

Arkansas native Johnny Cash's infamous 'Sooie' during Folson Prison Blues. He was known to yell this a lot during his live shows.
From my understanding that has nothing to do with Arkansas and the Razorbacks...it was a semi-veiled shot at the Folsom guards when he performed live there the first time: sooie = way to call hogs = pigs = cops.
