Notice how Rex doesn't mention a single thing regarding his ability to play the position. Nothing about his footwork or his pocket presence or his accuracy or his arm strength or his mobility. Just some lukewarm half-hearted compliments about McElroy being a winner and being able to take some tough hits. He sounds like Verne. Every time Verne called an Alabama game, he always mentioned the fact that Greg McElroy hasn't lost a game since eighth grade or that he has a shot at becoming a Rhodes scholar. He never complimented McElroy's abilities as a QB besides the SEC Championship Game against Florida.

Jesus Christ. Do you expect him to break down his film for a beat reporter asking him an on-the-fly question? Seriously, shut the Hell up.

Probably because he wasn't asked to breakdown his assessment of McElroy at a public function. You're a stupidass.
