What's crazy to me is the fact that this so far superior Alabama team on which LSU could not even cross mid-field was beaten by that very same LSU team in THEIR home stadium on a Saturday night in one of the biggest games in the history of that stadium.
There was one (1) TD scored in both of those games. Out of two games, LSU could not score a single TD.

don't forget that we pretty much chose not to in OT of round 1

Its kinda like ole miss and florida in 08. No one thinks ole miss was the better team. Just like 21-0 obliterates the notion that LSU was the better team this year.

That's funny because Alabama only scored 1 touchdown and it took them 7 1/2 quarters. My math may be off but that is not much better than not scoring one in 8. Meanwhile, they kicked 58 gimme FGs of > 40 yards. Also, we didnt try to score in the OT and finished the first half of the first game on your 1 yard line. I don't know if I would use that as an argument.

Seriously? Did Ole Miss go 13 - 0 that year and beat 9 top 25 teams and the winner of the Pac 10 and Big East? That is a foolish comparison.

you're absolutely right. he should have used lsu's 50 yard line problem instead.

Did Ole Miss have a game that season where they didnt get 1 first down in a half and another game where they only made it past the 50 once

No, but they were 9 - 4 and lost 3 games in the SEC including Vanderbilt and lost to Wake Forest.

But they were a young team, isn't that what we are going with now

And to your 21 - 0........13 - 1 (9 - 1) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 12 - 1 (8 - 1).
It's more, but not necessarily greater. There is a difference.

Every time y'all post one of these threads it just allows the Alabama fans to remind you of how much of a tail-kicking was delivered on Jan. 9. Please keep it up.

Yes you did most definitely tried to score a TD but didn't. LSU rushed for a no gain, then lost a yard before the LSU coaches decided not to take a chance on not scoring on the Bama defense, and then kicked.

1st and Goal at ALA 7 Kenny Hilliard rush for no gain to the Alab 7.
2nd and Goal at ALA 7 Spencer Ware rush for a loss of 1 yard to the Alab 8.
3rd and Goal at ALA 8 Timeout ALABAMA, clock 15:00.
3rd and Goal at ALA 8 Drew Alleman 25 yard field goal GOOD.

We really didn't try, but whatever.

Bama only scored 1 TD (when the game was already over).
