That would also gretaly increase the chance of not going to a school worthy of his talents because they all fill up too. Plain and simple, Bama used this kid. Why didn't they tell him 2 months ago this was a possibility? I'm sure the staff had some idea on how they may close out the class then. Just a week or two before signing day? come on, that is just wrong.

How did they use him? Seriously.
Even if he was only give a month or two weeks warning that there was a strong possibility that he would need to grey shirt, he should have been looking around. He should have notified schools that he was interested. If he didn't and chose to ignore the reality of his situation, that's kind of his fault.
Like I said, it's a shitty situation all around, but it's going to become more and more common.
