He ran track at auburn and I am seeing numbers for the 100 yard ranging from 9.1 to 10.23

I should note, that the 100 yard dash and 100 meter dash are two different things.

The world record 100 meter dash is 9.69 seconds. Jeff Demps ran it in 9.96 which is the fastest time for a football player.
