Arkansas opens SEC competition tonight hosting Kentucky.
I see not all SEC schools participate in what I thought was a pretty "SEC" sport.
Who all doesn't have a gymnastics team?
Does A&M have one? I see Mizzou has one because we are scheduled to go to Columbia near the end of the season.
I know....wgaf.

I just checked and surprisingly it looks like we don't. I say "surprising" because this is exactly the type of WGAF sport we'd win multiple national championships in.

Alabama hosts Georgia. The march to a sixth national title starts tonight.

I'm surprised your milk men don't also cross-train in gymnastics.

Get you some women's gymnastics. Its pretty "SEC". Arkansas has only had a team for about 10 years.

SEC gymnastics is the women's equivalent of football. The SEC is pretty dominant.

By SEC, you mean Alabama and Georgia. Only four programs nation wide have won a national title. Two of them in the SEC. The others are Utah and UCLA.

Yeah, but Arkansas is always up there, makes Big 6es, and usually loses to another SEC school.
We're usually a top 10 program. Florida, too IIRC.

If we ever do get a program I'm sure we'll be pretty good since we typically pour money into non-revenue sports for some gd reason.

I feel your pain. Foley build a women's lacrosse stadium two years ago instead of improving shade of the baseball field.

If you are talking women's gymnastics this thread is useless without pics

State doesn't have a program. So, GTFO.

Honestly, do you guys really follow gymnastics?

I follow it very closely.

LSU is competitive, too. Wasn't there a Big 6 a few years ago that was like 4 or 5 SEC teams?
Women's Gymnastics is a good thing to have around to take daughters and nieces to see. Its also pretty entertaining (in a non-pervy way). The risks those girls take and the athleticism is amazing.

I was expecting more than just two pics

Alabama gymnastics is very big in Tuscaloosa. UA averages around 12,000 for meets. I never missed one when I was in school. My sister competed for Sara Patterson in the 90s. I've followed it pretty closely ever since. I have a lot of respect for the athleticism is takes to compete at that level. It's amazing what they go through.
