Bama's D dominated, but that was a great performance out of the RS Sophomore in the BCS NCG. Made some tremendous throws and was able to elude the rush in key situations. Played with a level of poise and moxy that you'd expect to see from a fourth year starter.

Hes gonna be the key to success next year.

I was impressed as well. If he didn't play with so much poise, the game could have went a lot different.

Agreed. With the WR corps coming in, I could see AJ making some strides in our passing records next season.

McCarron's play (and Lacy's play) makes me more optimistic about next year. Alabama's offense will have to carry more of the load next year as a relatively young defense is broken in. The oline will be great and if McCarron and the skill player can click like they were last night, then Alabama could have another great year.

Incorrect, because you're forgetting something.
LSU still would have had to cross the 50 and score.

He's got a great ceiling and if he keeps on playing like that there's no telling where his talent could take him.

quote:Yep, while that was the best defensive performance I've ever seen in a college game, AJ was extremely impressive. And his coaches put him in a great position to be successful with sharp play-calling. Must be nice.

AJ definitely earned some respect last night. His stats weren't flashy by any means but he executed the gameplan to perfection and never got rattled.

True, but if AJ played with the same poise that JJ did (no flame), we wouldn't have been as succesful moving the ball as we were.
Well see, your coaching staff has this thing called a "backup game plan", which is something we don't have

The QB positions were so very different for both teams. The coddling of JJ led to a stinky LSU gameplan and performance.

That's what shocked me the most. It seemed like Les was not as prepared as I expected him to be. He literally had no answers last night.

i agree. it'll be a much more even matched game next year. Mettenburger will actually be able to run an offense.

He was impressive indeed. I think bama could've beat any NFL last night.

I love Eddie, but I question if he is going to be able go get the 3rd and 2, that you have to have.
Really pumped for next season. Lowered expectations and an opportunity to see all the highly touted recruits get out there.

I was thinking this while I was watching the game.
He didn't play like a first year starter.
He out played our senior QB.
