Or was that status quo for him? He was awful. Made me yearn for Verne.

He was trying waayyy too hard (to make the game seem exciting and competitive). Herby was evenaughing at him

It was so bad...I think he will dye his hair blonde. My goodness..slobbing all over the Honey Badger.

I'll still never forgive him for comparing Wes Byrum's kick to a chance at a bowl full of tortilla chips.

ESPN also hardly showed any shots of the coordinators. Don't think I ever saw Smart or Chavis.
Seems they had way less camera angles than the CBS production.
The SEC should never sever ties with CBS. Best game production out there - College & Pro.

"this ones for all the tostitos" was pretty bad and ruined one of my favorite moments ever

He also made a laughable statement about Saban making people forget about Bear Bryant...quickly tried to correct himself tho lol

I agree. The game last night was pretty terrible from camera angles and if I had to hear Musberger say "the honey badger" one more time i would kill myself

Officially he was short and a bit wide left.

The line about the honey badger and Africa made me lol

Agree. Mushberger is the WORST.
But I'd say the worst for him was the '98 Big 12 Championship Game: A&M vs. K-State
He went on about Michael Bishop and Martin "Automaticca" Gramaticca for 60 minutes straight...
Then A&M wins the game and he has to acknowledge something else. He sounded sad that a different team won...

Apparently Mus said something like "this is going to make people forget about Bryant." Then a 10 second pause and then he gathered himself.

Alex, what is the David vs. Goliath game in 5000 BC?

I hate Musberger more than I hate Joe Buck. My wife is an Aggie and thinks Musberger is the biggest UT homer ever. I just can't stand his style, period.

It was simply status quo for him in my opinion.

It's really difficult to forget a man who made the state of Alabama become synonymous with houndstooth.
