I cannot stand the direction college football is going for the most part. All these hurry up, no huddle spread passing offenses and no defense. I know Petrino runs a spread, and has run quite a bit hurry up no huddle this year, and our defense has not always been up to par, but at least we have SOME defense and we implement SOME power run.

I'm glad the national championship is between two teams that have respectable styles of play. Two teams that win games in the trenches, with physical play, and with high caliber athletes throughout the offense AND defense.

The rest of college football can continue pussy-footing around with their high school-esque play; and I hope Arkansas soon joins LSU and Bama in their physical, dominating brand of football.

The day the SEC loses its identity and joins the rank of pussy arse football is the day I quit giving a frick about college football. If I want to watch a 57-49 game I'll play a game of NFL blitz on N64.

I hate you arrogant arse Gumps and Honey Suckle lovers, but in the end I respect the hell out of the product your team puts on the field. Here's to an all SEC matchup in the NC.

I think that the spread offense craze is at it's peak right now and will begin to fade in the next 5 seasons. Not going to disappear, just not as many schools running it.

Sad to see how many of the supposed top teams from other conferences struggling so much with it. So many bowl games this season were absolute jokes because neither team could really stop the other.

Maybe it was God rewarding the rest of the country with what they want to see because the BCSNCG is going to be so boring. SMH.

I don't care what offense my team runs as long as it puts up more points than the other team.

I agree Jon. In fact the best part about petrino is that while we use some hurry up ocasionally and are also known to spread it out and throw it, Petrino knows that in the 4th quarter there is only one way to win and that is to be able to have a power run game right at them and eat the clock. Also I'm not sure our defense was that bad compared to the rest of the country who put out some very shitastic defenses this year.

Did you watch the Saints last night. Their spread 'um out offense is unreal and that was a pro defense they tore up.

Won't work on a high level in college without one of those once a decade athletes that populate the NFL.
