Finally a Top 5 Finish

Finally!
Everyone 35 and younger can hang their hat on a season that we all were told about growing up. Even watching the games as you young kid in the late 80's just isn't the same as a full grown adult.
As I said a few days ago I was upset Oklahoma State won a BCS bowl before our hogs. It mostly came from our mindset of Nutt's bowl record (2-6) and a dominate history over a team like Okie State.
However, I also stated if we beat up KSU I'd feel better and know we were on the right track by finishing in the Top 5.
I'm very proud and I have a feeling even more money is about to flood this program because the state of Arkansas loves OUR Hogs!
Who honestly knew 5 years ago...
1. We would be ranked top 10 in Value of Programs by Forbes
2. Pay a coach $3.68M a year
3. Recruiting the #1 player in the nation (Currently) Again
4. Raise $35M for a football center in less than a year that's already broken ground
5. Back to winning 10 or more games
6. Finish in the Top 5
7. 2 year record of 21-5 with those 5 loses coming to all Top 5 teams
8. Hire top assistant coaches
9. Build Master Facilities Plan
10. Single Logo Marketing
There are other things to add to this list. The reason this list sticks out to me is because since the early 90's the national media said Arkansas could never arrive back to it's former self after cutting our Texas ties. We all knew differently and we are still building in the toughest and most fun league in America.

You just get tired of your dad telling you how good they were and dominating teams like OU in the Orange bowl.
It's nice to finally NOT see Houston Nutt taking our Bowl record backwards (2-6) and finishing with a top ranking.

Yep, Arkansas definitely had a good season. Unfortunately, they had it at a time when two other teams from their division are having better seasons or who knows, maybe they win the SEC and play for a BCS championship.
But Arkansas is definitely pushing themself to be a top program with facility improvements, paying top dollar for a very good coaching staff, etc., and they are making progress.
Unfortunately, they are in the SEC West. If they were in the East they would have made it to Atlanta in back to back seasons most likely.

usc didnt play in a bowl
boise played so long ago it might as well not have played in a bowl
i cant imagine either of them ranked ahead of arkansas who beat another quality opponent in the cotton bowl.

It's the nature of the Beast and it's pretty well known if you beat the West, the National Championship game might be easier, ha.
Unless... it's a rematch.

BCS is all I care about since that's the system every team signed up for...
Arkansas is #6 and Boise St. is #7.

Ark is 7th in both polls (behind Boise in Coaches and behind USC in AP). Stanford lost so they'll definitely move up one spot. No guarantee they'll move up another, the LSU/Bama loser will not fall below #3 and will probably finish #2. They definitely wont jump USC. USC might even move up to #2. :)

The BCS doesn't produce a final poll only determines the title game
