I'm actually glad he made that comment. That is some of the best bulletin board material that I have ever seen. If this LSU team needed any extra motivation that comment will provide it.

You start to wonder if bama players are scared or something. You have heard a lot of smack talk coming from bama players and nothing from LSU.
It gives the impression LSU is confident and Bama is insecure and trying to talk themselves up to try to make themselves feel better.

The first time around Bama didn't talk trash as much as LSU did, Bama is just evening the playing field. This team fears nothing.

Bama players have been saying the better team did not win the first time. That is pretty insulting to the winning team and disrespectful big time.
You can think it all you want, but when you start telling reporters this, it is running your mouth and disrespect IMO.

What he needs to do is work on restoring Boy Meets World. What a great show. I know Barrett's role was small and in the early years but I think it really propelled his career to such compelling roles as Randy Hickey in My Name is Earl.

Never thought of that comparison.
I like Jones a lot, and I don't think his comment was too terrible. I think it could be used as bulletin board material, if it's even needed in a BCSCG, but his comment is in line with the reasons many kids choose Bama. It's a big name in CFB, and at one time, they were the kings of the SEC. I don't think he specified an era in his comment. Maybe he was speaking about the 70's.
Not a big deal, imo.

Correct Bama did not earn they way in! It was a media love fest for the gumps to get in the BCS
