Why do LSU fans feel the need to downplay Mathieu's status coming out of high school? He was a four star on Rivals. A three star on Scout.

And niether he or Claiborne were offered by the almighty Alabama.

After signing with LSU. It's the same philosophy behind Bama getting all these top ranked classes. As soon as a player commits to Bama, a couple of recruiting services just assume that Nick Saban knows all so they bump the player's ranking up to a 5 star.

No he was a 2*. I know so and the sites have it wrong right now cuz they changed it.
