The improper perspective of some Alabama fans isn't unique at all. It certainly isn't a "university image problem"

Which isn't what I said at all. Your WTF is likely because you did not get the point. I suggest you take the term "university image problem" and read it as "culture of having to worship its coach" in order to get the meaning. Again, Saban has to be the best who ever lived so that the praise that is unconditionally lavished upon him is justified. Where you got academics from is a feat of mental gymnastics the envy of all the world.

So which way do you suggest Alabama fans be? You guys and other rival fanbases were giving Alabama fans utter hell for being overly critical of our head coaches just a few short years ago. Now we treat them great and you find fault with that too. If it's not that, it's the ridiculous notion that Bama fans are "delusional" for expecting to compete regularly for championships. I can't even begin to count how many rival fanbases called Bama fans "delusional" and lectured us about our "unrealistic expectations" for thinking we could do better at head coach than Mike Shula and his 26-23 record. Many of you laughed in our faces at the suggestion that Saban would even give the Alabama program the time of day. Bama insiders were laughed at when they suggested that Bama was holding out for Saban and that he was indeed interested. 47 wins in 4 seasons later I guess those Alabama fans weren't so "delusional" after all were they?
