the BCSCG, do you think it would be :

USC, Michigan, or Texas?

Texas had their chance against Bama, but McCoy was hurt (we would've won anyway) so let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

Why would Michigan have a better shot than Ohio State? Just wondering why there were on the list instead? Mich gets a ton of their best players from Ohio and Ohio is a top 5 football state

USC and then texas

imo McCoy getting injured is the ONLY reason bama won. all i heard after that game from bama fans was "that gilbert qb from texas is gonna be great" when we all watched him give that game away.

USC

Easy
Who wouldn't want to play there? Saban or another great coach at UCLA or USC......It would be comparable to LSU and Alabama

Because Miles would never coach at Ohio state.

USC
Ohio State
Texas

in that order.

all 3 have access to premium recruits and the ability to recruit nationwide.
USC and Ohio State have coaches that can get those recruits and maximize their ability. Texas not so much at the moment.

Mack Brown is the most over rated coach this side of big game bob.

He looked hurt cutting up with Vince Young on the sideline.

for USC its next year or bust. They won't be competing for a title for a while after that because the scholly crunch will really start to hurt. The goal is to remain competitive during that time until we get back all our schollies but its foolish to expect a title anytime soon.

I'd put USC at the top, but OSU right behind them. OSU is in a similar position to LSU in that they are THE school in state and all the football players grow up wanting to go there.

don't know how Texas is not top 5 every year with the setup they have. It's the best in the nation imo...

We were talking about this the other day. TAMU has a real shot to overtake Texas in this regard, if only because the Aggies can offer recruits a chance to play in the best conference in the country.

Hopefully LSU will still pull top recruits out of the Houston/Golden Triangle area when going up against the Ags.

I think there are a lot of teams out there with the recruiting ability to beat us I am just starting to doubt their talent pool.

I think the atheletes in the South may just be better than the ones up north and out west.

As far as teams with the recruiting talent.

Ohio State
Notre Dame
USC
Michigan
Texas

If the right coach were in place at any of those schools they would be able to compete in the SEc every week.

I think Urban will be a success at Ohio State until he makes it to the NC game and has to play an SEC team and I think he will get crushed.

With Miami and Florida down, I could easily see Fla. State as a power in the making for the next few years.
