Anyone else concerned about the traffic if the Saints play next Saturday? Does New Orleans have specific streets or exits they close on Saints gamedays? I ask because 1 of my brother's fly's in at 230 and i'm staying downtown, so i am wondering how to pick him up.

Probably a car or other vehicle.

If you are picking him up at the air port you'll probably hit a lot of traffic going on the interstate both ways.

A bama fan picking up some of LSU's fans habit of being sarcastic even when someone is asking a serious question. It's ok though, i meant is there a specific route?

Do they close certain roads or exits?

Trust me...NO major roads will be "closed", just a lot of congestion coming into town on I-10 and w/in 10-15 blocks of the dome/Poydras area.

All of the times I've been there during games I've never seen any roads closed at all.

This might be bad also. I would stick on I-10 and just take that in. You might hit a little traffic but since it will be midday it should not be that bad. When you get into the city, do not wait to get to Loyola to get off of I-10. Take Claiborne into the city. I believe that would be your best bet.

Traffic before the game should be bad, but will get better as the night goes.

Yes, If I were you I'd even pay his cab ride. Save 1.5 hr of your time, gas, and frustration.

Likely would have Plenty of traffic on I-10 and coming into downtown. Not sure of Saints game time, but consider taking Airline Highway from airport, which turns into Tulane when you get into town, (one street parallel to Canal St.) Avoid Poydras.
