I have to believe that special teams are the focus of bowl preparations. Which leads me to ask:

1. Do you think Mathieu actually returns a single punt in the championship? (Single handed game changer so I expect 'Bama to try punt out of bounds every time)

2. Do you expect to see a trick play attempted on special teams?(fake punt, fake FG, onside kick, etc.)

3. What succeeds?

How do you see it?

I think Alabama is trying to figure out how to get closer to the end zone so they don't have to rely as much on special teams.

I highly doubt it. It's too much of a risk, but then again aiming for the sidelines could result in a shank.

It's going to be a tough call

This, but I'm not sure our punter has a strong enough leg to reach the sideline.

yep aim for sideline shank it and give us good field position or kick it to the honey badger and give up the punt return

Our punter isn't skilled enough to punt to the sidelines. :

Sunseri will take care of the Honey Badger though!

Honey badger does what he wants. If he wants one, then you will see it

I would think the kicker would be practicing fgs non stop. Not sure how much better a kicker can get in a month or so.

Yes. Matheiu is fricking crazy, one, two, three hopper? Line drive? Gunners in his face?

He really don't give a frick. He is the most sure handed returner since Peterson.

If bama is smart, they won't kick to him

Honestly I don't think we'll see a single trick play in this game. I also think Bama would rather risk shanking a punt and relying on their stout D to stop us than give HB7 a chance to take it to the house

I bet bamas punter tries to get as much hang time as possible which would work out favorably for lsu to block it and force him to get rid of it quicker

Special teams? You did not get the memo. LSU kicked our arse up and down the field in all 3 phases.

Just use your Field Goal/PAT kicker....

he can consistently send it "wide to the side"!

Certainly. Saban is too big an egomaniac to not kick to him.

on Bammer's side, yes. Expect some poorly executed fake like they tried against Texas.
