Generating a lot of buzz because the visit was out of nowhere. Hearing from some people who know him personally that say he might decommit from bama soon and start the process from scratch, said he feels he made his decision too soon

Awesome, if true.
When JJ announces for UF, that could help us out with him.

Apparently richts in home with Jenkins went VERY well the other day and uga is in a dead heat with bama and Florida for his services. Word is that mommy and daddy Jenkins are less than enthused with kirbys early sales pitch about richt being on his way out while Kirby has interviewed for the southern miss job. Seems there's a trust issue going on. Not saying it has hurt bama too bad, just that uga stands just as good a chance with him as the other 2

Kirby took his name out of the running for the southern miss job, and i am extremely confident that Alabama will land Jordan Jenkins.

I heard that Grantham didn't even make the in-home with Richt. Probably a good decision.

Well aware, but the damage had been done. He's been preaching the "uga staff won't be there next year" card all year, and not only was he proven wrong, but he showed that he is a normal human being too and will go where the money and HC position is. Kirby backed out of the southern miss job because he would take a 200k pay cut from his coordinator position at bama to coach a small school. I'd hold out for a better job too if I were him. But point still remains that he'd be more likely to go somewhere than richt

UGA may be in better shape than the gumps think. Read this on another site. makes sense to me
) Jordan's father, Ronald, mentions that he likes that CTG will stand up for his players. At 'Bama, reports are that CNS has stepped over a guy who's obviously dehydrated to the point of needing medical attention and has no problem dropping a RS FR former 5* kid with good academic standing after he had ankle surgery (Burton "BJ" Scott - the other of the "Escalade" crew, many more).
2) Preparation to the NFL. We have 2 coaches at Jordan's position who've had some success as NFL coaches; none of 'Bama's coaches have shown any success in the NFL.
3) Ability to feature his talents within the defensive scheme. Jordan is known as a edge rusher and the NFL does place a high premium on this ability. CTG is getting 1 kid/year into the 10 sack club who have this ability, and this is without even having had the time to put "his" guys throughout the roster (Sure, he recruited JJ out of USC, but he's had to use the talents of the other guys on the roster to put him in the position to make plays). CNS has had 1 guy in his 5 years @ 'Bama put up 10 sacks (Wallace Gilberry got 10 sacks in CNS's 1st season - then CNS didn't see fit to use his NFL contacts to even get him drafted).

I just think it's a poor decision that Grantham didn't go to JJ's in-home with Richt, considering how much JJ likes Grantham.
I think UGA is in it, but they still have quite a bit of ground to make up, and JJ is announcing in 2 1/2 weeks, so I'm not sure that they will be able to make it up with the dead period.

Grantham was visiting other prospects, I believe, and has made an in home with Jenkins earlier this year. Richt is far and away the guy you want in there to close the deal, though. Jenkins has seen enough of grantham and has a good relationship with him. If he wants it to continue, he knows who to sign with.
Also, jerkins mint be moving his date back to NSD after the visit
