Interesting question directed towards Bama fans

A Non-BSC related question to freshen things up!
Im just watching a special on the old SEC and they're talking about Bama in the early 90's. They're talking to Antonio Langham and he seemed like a complete ballhawk (19 career ints, and Thorpe award winner his Sr. year) . For those of you were around to watch him play, I was too young and don't remember, does Tyrann Mathieu remind you of Langham?

Langham was a different type player. Not fair to compare them per se. I would probably compare Mo to him though.

Not only did he have 19 INTs, he made em in HUGE situations. I wasn't old enough to watch him either but I'v seen plenty video. He was awesome.

I would say Langham had good talent and amazing drive. TM has more natural talent - still a hard worker I'm sure, but I'd guess it comes more naturally to him.

He was. We had a few guys that were kickass in the secondary that year.

That's pretty cool. They had some beasts on the '92 championship game. Their DE combo looked unreal

It didn't hurt that George Teague was locking down the other corner. I think the 4 DBs off the 1992 team combined for around 40 years of NFL PT. Probably the best secondary ever to hit the field.

Curry and Copeland were insane.

This. I was at the SEC Champ game when he sealed it against FL with a pick six.

That had to be one of the most enjoyable seasons ever to be a fan of Alabama ( 92 ).

It was stressful at times. They were called the cardiac kids for a reason.
eta - having said that.. I knew they'd beat Miami.. didn't know that bad though. Gino was a weak Heisman winner that year and they weren't impressive in their games, and I knew Bama's D would throttle them.

With all the BS and hatred between LSU and Bama, especially with everything going on currently, it's nice to also appreciate good other football teams. At the core we're all football fans. One day long into the future, we're going to talk about this season and this game as the pinnacle of the SEC's dominance for 6 straight years.

Yep.. and LB had Harper and Oden, with the Bookends on the line.

Just a stacked defense all around. I actually attended a dinner featuring Oden as a guest speaker a little over a year ago. Really nice guy, and is still very much involved with the program.

Met a couple of the guys way back when. It's amazing how big they were.

I love talking about older Alabama teams. If I get my dad started on em he won't stop talking. We celebrate Christmas in Anniston every year and all his friends and our family just sit around talking about Alabama football. It's so much fun when they're in the NC
