flawed opinion ranking is flawed. it includes data since 2001. This over-inflates schools like OSU & USC, while undervaluing teams like Bama & UGA.

You have to look at a job in two ways - 1) past history as in indication of future possibilities, and 2) current situation and how well you are set up for success.

A team that has recruited 4 straight top 5 classes, has more 1st rounders chosen the past 3 years than any other school in the country, plays in the SEC West, pays its coaches (HC & assts) among the best in the country, has 100K+ in the stands, and is playing for its 2nd BCS title in 3 years is a better job today than USC & OSU (who is going to have penalties soon).

I'd put Bama at either 3 or 4. I'd put Texas at #1, Florida at #2, and Bama/LSU are interchangable at 3 & 4.

Lol clueless to the real story but yeah it looked that way

I will say this LSU owes a debt of gratitude to Kirk Herbstreit, he carried out the deed of the leak for the Ohio St BOTs, if not for him who knows who LSU HC would be right now

shocking. Yes they should cherry pick a more suitable period to look at, say just since 2007. That would be more objective.

By the Coach Rankings site:

quote:

Formula takes into account: Conference, BCS National Championships, Conference Championships, Coach Salary, Average Recruiting Rank, Average Football Revenue, Players Drafted, Stadium Size, and Stadium Attendance (% of Capacity). The purpose of this ranking it to have a fair and accurate comparison of all of the FBS jobs compared equally against common factors that typically make jobs more desirable than others. All data is since 2001.

Yep. I have a reading comprehension problem. Your agenda is transparent and obvious. It doesn't have Bama where you think Bama is entitled to be.
