why are lsu fans so confident of a win 1/9/12?

After this long of a layoff, the advantage goes to the best defense and who can run the ball the best. And since both lsu and alabama have good rbs, i think it's fair to look at who will stop the run better. I feel this is a definite advantage for alabama, and i just don't see us running the ball well at all. You can forget the option, ain't happening. all that is left is misdirection and trickeration which will only work so much and take us so far.

their D is senior filled with blue chips. I can only imagine how hungry they are right now, and inversely the mental state of our team. I really feel this is a huge advantage for alabama, and it really sucks we get rewarded with such a huge disadvantage. But it is what it is, and they are the best.

ultimately, i don't have that much confidence in our offense against their defense. I think one of the main reasons lsu and miles has don't so well in bowl games is because we have always had the better defense (by far, most of the time), that will totally not be the case this time.

I feel for us to win, we will have to keep it close enough and hope they make some mistakes. I think the team that capitalizes the most on mistakes will win. I don't see our offense putting up much points, i feel our defense will have to score along with special teams to win.


People keep saying this will be a higher scoring game. I disagree, the defenses will dominate (like they should), and who ever makes the least amount of mistakes wins.

It will be a damn near repeat of nov 5th. And i have no IDEA who will win.

penalties/mistakes/turnovers will be a factor, but no one can say how that will play out, so it's a wash.
