If you guys really wanted to help Trent Richardson win the heisman you should have given him a cool nickman like RPG111 or honey Badger (Named here by Mike linebacker). It helps market them and lets face the freaking truth all the damn thing is a big marketing contest aka beauty contest. (Does USC ever not have a guy they are pimping?)

You guys bitch about not having more of these but as a fanbase, and you have a huge one, yall dont seem to do shite to help. Calling finebaum and bitching for three hours a day doesn't really help.)

Seriously, it is part of the fan culture to not promote individual players for awards etc. It is team game, no names on back of jersey, etc. That is way Bear did it etc.

Off topic, but just curious on this

I only use 4, most are easier to type than their entire name.

Trent Richardson - T-Rich(him and his brother both use that name)
Michael Williams - BMW(Big Mike Williams)
Eddie Lacy - Circle/Circle Button(Because of his spin move)
Dre Kirkpatrick - Dre Swag/Swagpatrick(self explanatory)

That's all I use, I only use the latter 2 publicly. I don't use Cyko, Red Barron, Nacho, Hitman, McCannon, etc...

Like it or not the "honey badger" name help mathieu and thus may have cost Trent richardson the job.

I am old enough to remember when it seemed impossible for a guy from South to win the damn thing, you need any edge you can get.

But if you don't get messaging, the important of language, etc. Ok with me. You likely going to be poor, and a follower of whatever BS they are selling but every field needs lots of sheep to feed on.

Honestly, you kids would do better just studying this shite for four years, and make a hell of a lot of more money doing it . Read a few books by Rove, Frank Lutz, etc and a few on Demographic, and trends and you can change the freaking world.

Out of the ten million bama fans surely you have some of these guys? Hint: They usually retire a few times but always the first time before their mid fifties and hang out in places like water color, nags head, Sea island etc. They would do this gratis I am sure. Damn sure make 10x what lawyers, doctors make and sure as hell have more time less stress. Hell, just watch "thank you for smoking" that is based on real guy.

I think the list of winners without a nickname is greater.

Some, but not something that really caught on. Palmer (deuce) was the guy on that team with a nickname. Usually has to be a special player and/or circumstances for players at Bama to have a nickname recognized by the entire fan base.
