Explain to me how a defensive minded head coach (Chizik) regardless of who is the defensive coordinator has a defense in his time at AU so bad...

I am not sure. I was also wondering if Bama fans would ever lose the Updyke moniker. 8 ball says outlook not so good

Couldn't be any worse. I thought Chiz should have took it over mid-season, he is an excellent defensive coach IMO.

Didn't Franklin come in a few years ago with 2 weeks to prepare for the bowl game against Clemson? I thought Aub looked well in that one for a total offensive scheme change on short notice.
