Why is Jarvis Jones (UGA) getting a free pass?

He sure talked up a big game. I recall a couple of quotes where he said he couldn't see how Georgia could lose to LSU and how their defense was equal to or better than LSUs.
I don't recall seeing him do much when the rubber hit the road. This Crowell kid is getting a lot of crap but he isn't the one who was doing most of the talking pre-game.
I think players should just put a lid on it before big games. It creates far too much pressure on them and the team. This applies to guys like TM7 too.

He didn't just say he thought they could win. He said they were markedly better and he didn't see how LSU had a chance (paraphrasing). He didn't display confidence in his team, he was downgrading LSU. He talked massive amounts of trash. It does seem odd that Crowell is getting the brunt of it, when it was Jones who ran his mouth and also did nothing in the game.

Did he play in the game? I don't remember Verne or Gary mentioning his name.

Not that it matters a pant load but I didn't see where Jones was overstepping at all. Don't recall the name but there was a defensive back quoted as saying he thought UGA's defense was better than LSU's and that's his prerogative anyway. Jones was very respectful in everything I read.
