Seriously though, I think the term is "show cause". In other words, if Ole Miss did want to hire Davis or if Tressel wanted to get back to the NCAA coaching level, the potential hiring school has to "show cause" that the candidate is suitable and would not break any NCAA rules (how in the world do you do that is beyond me).
