Houston Nutt. Is this a great country or what? Four years ago Houston Nutt and his agent, Jimmy Sexton, pulled off one of the greatest coups ever. Nutt was in the process of being forced out at Arkansas and got a buyout of over $3.5 million to walk away. Just hours after his dismissal at Arkansas was announced Nutt was hired by Mississippi at a salary of about $2.5 million. This Saturday, after back to back losing seasons, Nutt will coach his last home game for Ole Miss against No. 1 LSU. The price tag for his departure this time will be another $6 million. Nutt, who just turned 54, could retire in style but says he wants to coach again: "I still think I've got one more good run left in me," he said.
Want to become a millionaire? Make one team medicore, get fired, con another team into giving you a huge contract, then run that team in the ground, get fired again.

his agent signed a deal with the devil. Routinely gets people contracts they don't deserve.

Who the frick would hire him at this point? Unless he thinks "one more good run" will be at an FCS school, he's done.

I really think he could turn Texas A&M's program around and get them ready for the SEC.

He's probably right. Someone out there will be dumb enough to hire him at season's end. Doubt he misses a beat.

He might suck as a coach, but he's pretty damn good at making that money.

Didn't someone say tater tot was in jeopardy of losing his job at UNA?

Laughing all the way to the bank. I think Nutt could do great things at Tennessee if the Dooley experiment doesn't work out.

Add in his salaries from OM and his 4 year total is around $21 million?

I don't know. I know nothing about UNA football. I just thought I saw someone mention on here that he could be gone after this year.

There is no one in the country better at getting fired than Houston Nutt. Not only does he get fired, but he goes out with a bang, man. He nails a news anchor, divides a fanbase, has banners flown, newspaper ads taken out, and texts FOIA'd. He's spanned two states, 13 years, and 3 cup sizes. He's had rules created because of his shenanigans. He's HDN, MOTHO, TCTWF, TCTWFA, Hootie, Dale, Monkey with a Whistle, The Dork, and many others. He's brought down athletic directors and university presidents. He is Houston Nutt.
