For starters, the Mississippi gulf coast has a LONG creole/cajun tradition, so don't act like Louisiana has some kind of a monopoly on andouille sausage and shrimp.

Yeah, everyone associates Cajun/creole cooking with Mississippi.

frick.....i'm the same way. It seems like it just tastes different in a solo cup.

Same here. I've even gotten to the point of pouring a beer in a solo cup (or regular plastic cup) even at home. I'm the same way with drinking a diet coke. I prefer it in a cup with ice. Can't stand drinking a soft drink straight out of the can. I can drink a beer straight out of the can or bottle but like it poured in a cup just as much.

What are some good spots to park and tailgate near the grove? Was looking at a lot on old taylor rd between university and the rv lot. Also wondering if it would be feasible to park and tailgate at swayze field? What time would be best to get on campus to secure a spot close to the grove for a 6pm kickoff? Thanks and looking forward to my favorite road trip in the SEC!

Those fill up rather quickly on gameday. Get on campus before 9am to make sure you get a spot in that lot. There are also places to park on the other side of Old Taylor (in and around the music building, Ford Center, Depot St lot, etc) but it's a bit longer walk than the lots you're talking about.

I don't think they open Swayze for parking. I could be wrong though. If you get on campus early (9ish) it won't hurt to ride by and check. Stop and ask the cop if you can, smash him in the face if he catches attitude with you.

Again, latest would be 9am. You might be able to find something if you get there later, but it won't be a sure thing.

Portable generators with a decibel rating of 60DB or less are permitted for tailgating use.

These are the rules for the Grove right?
Are larger generators acceptable in outlying parking lots?
