Don't take this as me turning on Saban because it's not. He's still the second best coach in college football (Miles deserves to be called number one). However we've had one of the most talented teams the past two years and have not lived up to expectations.

Saban is the reason for the talent, with regards to recruiting and offseason workouts. However, for whatever the reason we've lost 4 games the past two years (and still some to play this year) that all could have been won with smarter decision making, motivation, whatever.

Think back to a couple of years ago when Bama had beat LSU two years in a row, Saban was on top and the best two coaches were Saban and Meyer. Media and even some LSU fans doubted Miles. However, Les just kept grinding away. He had the script A "take the leAd" shirts made, which were made fun of. However his team got the message and they've done just that.

Saban can do two things. He can allow the stress and expectations to get to him and move on like Meyer. Or he can keep grinding away, have confidence in his ability, and continue to earn the status he's been given. Miles did.

I don't think Saban is gonna make it more than a couple more years at Bama. He looks worn the eff out and never looks like he's having fun on the field. I see him taking Bama to one more title game (maybe) then hanging it up.

Dude seriously looked like he was going to have an aneurysm at some points Saturday night...shite ain't healthy.

We have too many retarded fans who cheer for the Crimson Tide. When will people realize that you can't win every single game? LSU was the #1 team in America and Alabama lost by 3 in overtime. Yes, we could have won. Yes, mistakes were made. It's part of football. Even Bryant's teams didn't play mistake-free football 100% of the time and lost some big games because of it.

No coach or coaching staff are infallible. They are only human, just like the rest of us. The sooner you realize that, the smarter you will be.

Not reading all of that but you can't argue against your own points if you're a bama fan.

Either the guy is a great recruiter or a great coach but he's not both for sure. Either he didn't have the talent Saturday or he didn't coach the talent he has.

I'd say it's the latter. Les did what all the gumps said was not possible, he beat Saban twice in a row.

It seems to me that if Bama doesn't somehow steal a championship this year then the window will be closed for at least one more. Bama looks like they will clearly take another step back next year. That would be 3 years in Row without winning the West.

He has NEVER won anything of significance with a team comprised of ONLY his own recruits!!!

You're either mentally retarded or a dumb arse. I'm not sure which though.

Alabama was in position to win the game but mistakes and turnovers cost us. Saban and Miles both had their teams ready to play that game, LSU just made fewer costly mistakes and also had superior special teams.

44 wins and counting in a not yet completed 4 seasons, with 2 SEC West titles and a NC. He's earned it.

This. The OP needs to listen to fellow bama fans. They seem to know what's up.

If your 6 million could not buy you a championship this year then maybe you could get Miles for 10?

My memory is kinda sketchy but didn't he go undefeated BCSNC just a few short years ago......Now he has to "EARN IT" or you will not be satisfied.

OK, I be sure to tell him. I'm sure he will be crushed by your assessment.

Anyone who has won an undefeated national championship in the BCS era, plus another national title at another school, has earned it. The OP reminds me of those Bama fans who wanted Bryant to be fired after his two 5-loss seasons in '69 and '70. We're too fickle a fan base for our own good.

So he lost with a superior team? Or didn't get it done with less talent?

By your account it was evenly coached and LSU had better players. I think Saban made some terrible calls. just sayin

41-4 in the regular season since 08, with 3 of the losses against top 5 teams.

I think he knows what he's doing
