LSU Fan Perspective on Bama "Inside the Program"

This is my first non-toungue in cheek post on this game, so Bear with me.
Here are my reactions after watching the Alabama "Inside the Program" show last night.
1. I was super impressed with Barrett Jones and his interview with Renaldi and his team mate Vlachos. both of those kids seem like very classy smart and genuinely good young men--the kind of men your school can be proud to have represent them. Jones really stood out to me. I could see this kid being a senator one day.
2. Hightower is a scary human being. I swear I thought he was wearing shoulder pads under his street clothes in that interview. He looks like a 28 year old full grown man. Dude is going to be a beast in the NFL. Also seems like a very classy kid.
3. I'm not a Saban hater. I appreciate everything He did for LSU when he was here. Most LSU fans don't want to admit it, but without him, we would not be where we are as a program. I still wish he would just loosen up a bit. He seems far tighter than everyone else and in some of his interviews you can tell he's forcing himself to try to appear a bit more loose. At one point Renaldi asked him "how uptight are you?" and he puts his hands up in a defensive position and says "I'm not uptight!". I know that is just how the man is wound and it has no bearing on the outcome of this game, but I wish a great coach like that would allow himself to enjoy it. Games like this just don't come along that often.
In all seriousness, Bama is a great program because Saban is your coach. He was a great hire after the likes of Frach, Shula, and so forth took the program backward. Without Saban, you guys are Michigan. With him, you guys are a premier national program again--as you should be.
I have a ton of respect for Alabama and their coaches and players. Tons of talent, well coached, and they play hard.
Hopefully this game turns out to be a classic.

I thought that was funny too.
But how big of a dbag is Rinaldi? Cant stand that guy. Im amazed he got his mouth of Tiger's schfontz long enough to make it to Tuscaloosa.

And yes, Rinaldi is a dbag. ESPN is fully stocked in that regard.

I agree. Saban did look a little uptight in the interview with Rinaldi. However, in his interview with Chris Fowler last night, he looked very loose.

Rinaldi just sucks. He's so awkward.

at least has a smidgeon of credibility as a journalist. We got a cheerleader hosting our "inside the program" who had to look at her notes to introduce the player standing in front of her and then still mis pronouncing names. Terrible. She would ask a question, get a response, look down at her notes then ask another question with no regard for the answer she just heard.

We got a cheerleader

I agree. The one they did last year in fall camp was way better.

They need to send people in their to inteview the coaches and players that actually understand the game and understand the dynamics of a program. I wish they would have sent Palmer adn Pollack or desmond and pollack to do those. they undertand the game and what goes on in a program and both have SEC pedigree

Can't this be said about any good coach?

ETA: Hell, you could even send the dbag's dbag, Herbie in there.

Bama was a great program before Saban. It is a great program with Saban. It will be a great program after Saban.

thanks for the remarks man. overall i thought it was good. all this exposure for both programs is good in my opinion.
i've watched both programs a couple times. i'm not a fan of erin andrews. but lsu is my second favorite team. and i'm a fan of les miles. i think he and saban can have something akin to woody hayes and bo schembechler, if both stay put and continue recruiting the way they do. personally i would love this.
so heres to a great game saturday night, and years to come.
