With all due respect to the Crimson Kool Aid drinkers and the Purple and Gold Glasses, this game is a toss up.
Both teams have beaten UF and UT by nearly identical margins, one home and one away. Of the remaining opponents stacking them head to head by best to worst opponent:
1. Oregon > Arkansas
2. WVU (Push) Penn State
3. Aub > Vandy
4. Miss St > Ole Miss
5. Kentucky > N. Texas
6. NW State (Push) Kent St
So while I give the tougher schedule to LSU, this is nullified by home field advantage for Bama.
QB - Push
RB - Adv Bama
WR - Adv LSU
O Line - Push
D Line - Adv LSU
LB - Adv Bama
CB - Adv LSU
S - Adv Bama
Coach - I think Saban is the best in the business, but I don't think this is a huge advantage in this game.
Since Bama's first game, neither team turns the ball over.
Only way this is not a knock-down, drag out, extremely close game is if one team turns it over 2-3 times.
Now time for my objective P&G Glasses: LSU wins 20-17
Only scenario I can see where LSU would win more handily is with a couple of early turnovers. IF Bama turns it over more than once I say LSU by 9

I'm of the opinion that Saban is the best coach in the country at building a roster and getting them ready for gameday.
As far as actually during the game, I'm not nearly as high on him.

in tight not wanting to make mistakes as well. I see that as an advantage for LSU. Saban is a different man but he will never be that loose fun guy; it just isn't his personality. Close game but hopefully Bama by three thanks to a raucous crowd.

Sorry on my phone and getting bad reception. JusT saying that Saban is an uptight individual and players take on the personality of their coach sometimes. If you are afraid of making a mistake you usually do.

On paper it should be a close game, that is low scoring. However, things hardly ever go the way you think they will. Too close to call IMO for sure.
It's who prepares well, shows up ready to play, keeps playing hard, doesn't let up, and doesn't make mistakes that will win this game.
If one team does all of these way more than the others, it could be a blow out. If they both do it poorly, it could be a close sloppy game. If they both do it well it could be a great close game. If one does all or some of these things just a little better than the other, then it could be a 7-10 point game.

I am firmly convinced that both teams will take care of the bold and it will come down to the big mistakes. There is the possibility of coming in TOO jacked up and losing a little focus early. With magnitude and the 7:00 kick off the intensity at the start will be off the charts. I really don't think it will be sloppy. I do think there will be a lot of heavy hitting.
