Where will the points come from Nov 5th?

We've seen enough stats to last a lifetime but what will they mean come game time? I think LSU will pound pound pound and get big plays through the air on play action and maybe take advantage of 1 on 1's. Dre and them are awesome but they let WRs get behind them occasionally. I can't imagine LSU running very effectively where I DO see Alabama moving the ball very well on the ground. Will Saban and company make sure AJ has easy reads? Are there even easy reads against LSU's secondary? Just wondering which matchup's everyone sees playing a role in the game.

special teams will be huge, IMO
TDs will be really hard to come by. Richardson probably breaks a long one

Yep. LSU will have a huge advantage here, unfortunately. I think that Alabama's starting field position will be significantly worse than LSU's which could play a huge part in the game.

If Bama can rush the ball and keep it 2nd and 5 or less, they are hard to beat. If AJ is in 3rd and long will be hard to move the ball and flip the field. That will be key. Punting and special teams will play big role. Notice that Saban has been throwing on early downs to keep defense guessing and not be one dimensional. It will truly be a chess match.

Interesting thing for me is that both teams seem to start out slow and then just wear out the opponent in the 2nd half. Who wears out who in this one?

I have no feel for this game at all

Unless it gets lopsided one way or the other which I think would be unlikely, I don't see either team wearing the other down.
Both teams are talented, well-conditioned and have loads of depth on both sides of the ball.
They could just about use each other for shaving mirrors.

I agree. Having a guy like Wing isn't necessary but damn I wish he played for Alabama. Aren't LSUs DEs pretty light? I know they're fast. Will that make running easier for Alabama and will it be harder for guys like Fluker to pass block them?

Mingo is tall and skinny, but runs a 4.5 40 and has a knack for finding the ball.

I can, since I've seen them do it over and over. Teams dare us to pass, and when they do, we do it effectively.
All kinds of running room then.

This is going to sound CRAZY but RR doesn't scare me that much. If Dre just plays smart football I can see him keeping RR in check. He kills teams by getting behind them on PA but Dre HAS to know that it'l be coming at some point. Randle doesn't seem like a big play guy if he catches the ball in front of the D. Whoever Milliner is matched up on scares the shite outta me.

Great point. I know we make a ton of substitutions on the D-line to help keep our guys fresh, but a steady diet of Ware will take its toll. I'm not sure what LSU's practice is here regarding substitution, but Richardson, Lacy, and Fowler leave their fair share of bruises as well.
I just keep coming back to the kicking game. LSU with a short field is scary, and I fear for my TV's life if we give up a first down on a fake punt.

well of course there are tons of easy reads on LSU....geno smith! omg.

I think our defensive backs are good enough to limit Randle's impact, but he's going to make 1-2 big plays in the game. There's no doubt in my mind about that. I just hope we don't get caught on a safety blitz where Lee can hit Randle streaking without any help over the top from our safeties, ala the Debose touchdown in the UF game.
I tell you guys this, though. I'm thankful that we struggled in the first half against Tennessee and put the game on AJ's shoulders in the second half. I know that Tennessee's defense is no where near as good as LSU's, but this is the first time that AJ has been given the responsibility to win the game and he performed remarkably well. I hope he can carry that confidence forward into the LSU game.

You may not be scared of Reuben Randle but you better believe you should be scared of Odell Beckham Jr. Sheppard could get lucky as well but he's overhyped and not as good as Beckham. Just beware if he actually catches it with room.
This is going to be a once in a lifetime clash of the titans.
I cannot wait.
